Your mission
As a DevOps Engineer, you will ensure that our applications run smoothly and that all engineering teams have the turn-key solutions they need, allowing them to focus on building our products.
You will work closely with our Lead Architect and engineering teams to maintain and extend our engineering and production infrastructure. Your understanding of product development and quality assurance helps you recognize the need for system improvements early on, automating anything that would otherwise consume valuable resources.
As an enabler, you are approachable and take on a supportive mindset. Your strong technical skills and interest in tools and best practices allow you to shape our infrastructure services and deployment processes.
Your profile
You are passionate about startups on the verge of becoming scaleups, and you understand what it means to take responsibility for a diverse set of production, research, and engineering infrastructure.
Highly motivated to automate as much as possible, you also bring the following qualities:
- Strong team player
- Thoroughness
- Problem-solving skills
- Fluency in English and German
You have experience with:- Linux system administration
- Security and monitoring
- Databases and backup strategies
- Cloud infrastructure such as AWS or Google Cloud
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and configuration management
- Containers and Container Orchestration
- CI/CD pipelines
- A general understanding of PHP, Python, and Java ecosystems and coding experience in one or more of these
- Web application best practices
- Agile processes
Nice to have:- Experience with Docker Swarm and/or Kubernetes
- Elasticsearch
- Data processing tools
- Background in procurement
Please note:- We require a Polizeiliches Führungszeugnis (certificate of good conduct) for this position.
- While we are a remote first company, you must be located in Germany for this role, preferably closely to Frankfurt am Main or Munich.
- Due to our international team and local requirements, fluency in both German and Enflish is essential in this role.
